PRE – RACE
Can the event be canceled due to weather?
No. The event will take place rain, shine, or snow.
What is included in the entry fee?
- Finishers Medal
- Event T-Shirt
- 1 beer ticket
Do I need to buy my own gas mask?
No, Training Masks will be supplied at the Spartyka Warrior Challenge; however, you may wish to purchase your own Training Mask for training purposes and comfort during competition.
Why is the Training Mask encouraged?
The goal in encouraging use of one brand of gask mask is to be constant with equipment during the challenge.
What are the age requirements to run the race?
Age requirements for the Spartyka Warrior Challenge is 18 and over. 16 and 17-year-olds can run the Challenge with parental consent.
Can I transfer my entry fee?
Yes, but this must be done at least 14 days out from the event.
Do I have to sign a waiver to participate in Spartyka Warrior Challenge?
Yes.
Where do I pick up my pre-race packet?
This will be disclosed as soon as the official Race Packet pick up sponsor is announced, or you can also pick it up the day of the event. Keep in mind if you pick up your race packet the day of the event to give yourself plenty of extra time so you can start with your assigned wave.
Can I get a refund?
No. All sales are final, and non refundable.
How do I train for the course?
Train as hard as you can, then train some more…….using the TRAINING MASK prior to the event could be a huge advantage!
Where can I get a poster for my office or gym?
You will be able to download it from the website, challenge your friends and coworkers.
How can I nominate a "Warrior of the Day"?
Just email us on the website, and thank you for taking the time to consider a Warrior of the Day!

RACE DAY
What should I wear and bring to the race?
You should wear clothes that are comfortable, and allow you free range of motion as the course is filled with obstacles. We also recommend you bring a change of clothing. Photo I.D. and confirmation email is also required.
What time do I show up before the race?
We recommend that you give yourself ample time to park, check in, stretch, and hydrate (show up early to watch the competition)
What if I miss my start time?
If you miss your start time you may be able to be placed into a later wave if there is space available. You will not however, be able to compete for time. You will also have to time yourself.
Can I skip an obstacle?
The Spartyka Warrior Challenge is just that, a challenge. All we ask is that you push yourself and test your comfort zone… Please try before giving up and going around the obstacle.There will be a course official at each obstacle for your safety and encouragement. If you cannot complete the obstacle on your own, seek help from other participants before skipping an obstacle.
What happens if I can't complete an obstacle?

What if I become sick or injured?
There will be EMS and medical personnel on site.
Where can I locate medical help?
Medical personnel will be distributed throughout the course.
Do spectators have to pay for admission?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! All spectators and supporters are welcome.
Can I bring my pets?
Due to Health and Safety Concerns, pets are NOT allowed at the Spartyka Warrior Challenge.
Can I run barefoot?
Yes, however you assume all risk and liability of any injury sustained throughout the course.
Do I have to swim at anytime during the course?
No. Any water obstacles you may encounter will not be over your head.
Can I wear my own gas mask?
Yes. While the Training Mask is encouraged, participants may supply their own gas mask. Note: Spartyka Race Team does not accept any responsibility for damage or loss of personal masks, property.
Why aren't other brands of gas masks allowed?
The "Training Mask" is the only approved mask for competition in the SWC, so we can ensure that all competitors have an equal playing field.
POST RACE
What do participants get?
All participants will receive finisher medals, SWC T-shirts, one free beer, and most importantly BRAGGING RIGHTS. Participants will also be invited to stay for the post race party of beer, music, and good times.
Will there be food available?
There will food available for sale at the after party.
Will there be alcohol available?
There will be alcohol available for sale at the after party. Participants over 21 will receive one ticket redeemable for a free beer upon completing the Spartyka Warrior Challenge. We ask you to DRINK RESPONSIBLY……Spartyka takes no responsibility for your actions! ENJOY THE COURSE, ENJOY YOUR TIME, BUT WE ASK YOU TO MAKE SMART DECISIONS!
